400e Airsoft FAQs
How Do I Operate My AEG?
- Start with a freshly charged battery.
- Remove the battery cover and install the battery securely.
- Load the magazine:
- Fill the reservoir with BBs.
- Use the wheel on the bottom of the magazine to load BBs into the firing side.
- Insert the magazine into the rifle.
- Select semi-auto or full-auto mode, and you are ready to shoot.
How Do I Adjust the Hop-Up?
- Open the side cover to access the hop-up adjustment wheel.
- Turn the wheel to increase or decrease the hop-up.
- Heavier ammunition: Requires more hop-up.
- Lighter ammunition: Requires less hop-up.
- Adjust until the BBs fly as flat and far as possible.
What Should I Do If My Gun Isn’t Working or Is Faulty?
- Check the Battery: Ensure it is fully charged and in good working condition.
- Inspect the Barrel: Make sure the barrel is clean and free of jams.
- Ammunition: Always use clean, new BBs. Reusing ammunition can cause jams.
- Motor Issues:
- If the motor is turning but the gun isn’t firing, adjust the set screw on the bottom of the grip.
- Adjusting the screw can help the motor engage the gearbox properly.

Firing Issues
If your rifle isn’t firing, follow these steps:
Check the Battery:
- Use a voltmeter to confirm the battery is fully charged.
Inspect for Gear Jams:
- Gear jams can occur due to firing with a weak or undercharged battery or storing the gun with the gears partially cycled.
- Symptoms of a gear jam include:
- Clicking noise when pulling the trigger.
- The motor in the pistol grip “twitches.”
- The wiring and battery become warm.
- Important: Stop firing if you notice these symptoms to avoid overheating and damaging your gun or battery.
Resolve Gear Jams:
- Adjust the set screw on the bottom of the handle to ease the motor off the gearbox.
- Refer to this guide: Set Screw Adjustment.
How Do I Connect the 9-Pin Low Voltage Buzzer Alarm?
The buzzer alarm connects to the balance lead of the LiPo battery, not directly to the 400e.
- For instructions, watch this video: Connecting the Voltage Alarm.
Tips:
- Disconnect the battery from the 400e when not in use.
- Always unplug the voltage alarm from the LiPo battery when not in use to prevent power drain.
