1911 Spring Pistol FAQ
How Do I Operate the 1911?
- Press the magazine release button on the left side to remove the magazine.
- Lower the follower on the right side of the magazine until it clicks into position.
- Depress and hold the button on the top of the magazine and load BBs into the hole until filled.
- Let go of the button on top of the magazine, then push the follower upward.
- Insert the magazine into your gun.
- Pull the slide all the way back. There should be 2 distinct clicks, if you only hear one, it hasn't been pulled back far enough.
- Take aim at your target and squeeze the trigger to fire.
- Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the magazine is empty.
- Do not store your gun cocked, this will weaken the spring and void your warranty.
How Do I Use the Sights Correctly?
- Align the front sight within the rear notch with the target resting on top of the alignment.
- The sights are fixed, so if the point of impact differs from the point of aim:
- Experiment with different brands of BBs to improve accuracy.
How do I clear a jam?
- Remove the magazine and shake out any loose BBs
- Cock the gun and dry fire into a safe backstop
- Cock the gun and hold the slide back, be sure to keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. While holding the slide in position, insert a cleaning rod into the muzzle and push it toward the back. This will clear the barrel, any jammed ammo will drop out the magazine well.
- Dry fire into a safe backstop. Your gun should now be unjammed. Use quality ammunition, never reuse ammunition, and never store your gun cocked.
