1100z FAQ
Accuracy Issues
If you’re experiencing accuracy issues, try the following steps:
- Ensure all stock screws are snug.
- Experiment with different holds and consistently use the one that works best.
- Test various ammunition types—medium-weight pellets typically offer better accuracy.
- If accuracy suddenly worsens, check stock screws and inspect your scope rings.
- Some scope rings work better than others with the 1100z rail. Typically, less expensive rings manufactured overseas will work better then more expensive, domestically made rings.
Defective Magazine
Magazine Not Rotating:
- Likely due to a broken inner O-ring. Contact Barra Airguns Customer Service if under warranty.
- Out of warranty? Purchase a replacement on our website.
Wrong Ammo Fit:
- If ammo falls through in spite of the magazine o-ring being intact, or the magazine is labeled incorrectly, it needs replacement. Contact customer service if under warranty or purchase a replacement online.

Moderator Recommendations
- Use a .30 caliber moderator for all 1100z rifles.
- The muzzle thread is 1/2-20 UNF.
Storing the 1100z
- Store with 1000–1500 psi pressure to keep the internals clean and minimize stress on seals.
- Ensure it’s out of reach of unauthorized users.
Using Slugs in the 1100z
- Slugs can be used. For .22 caliber, lighter slugs (22 grains or less) tend to work best.
- Experiment with slug diameter and tune settings for optimal performance.
First test in the single shot tray, if they feed there, then load a magazine with them and push the slugs out of the mag with a cleaning rod to verify smooth feeding before you actually try them in the rifle.
Adjusting the Gen 2 Regulator
- Start by adjusting the hammer spring before attempting to adjust the regulator.
- Regulator adjustment should only be attempted by experienced individuals.
- All adjustments really require a chronograph to produce meaningful results.
- If adjusting the regulator is necessary, follow these steps:
- Degas the gun and remove the fill assembly using the fill probe to get it started.
- Create a retrieval tool using an M15-1.5 threaded nut on a rod.
- Pull the regulator out far enough to access the locknut and adjustment screw.
- Adjust the regulator:
- Loosen the lock nut.
- Turn the adjuster with a flathead screwdriver (small increments, 20–30 degrees).
- Turn the adjuster inward to decrease regulator output, adjust it outward to increase regulator output.
- Tighten the lock nut, use the screwdriver to keep your adjustment in place.
- Reassemble and test. Use the hammer spring adjustment process to fine-tune efficiency and power.
- Keep in mind, that increasing power output will result in lower shot count and increased noise.
